Brownies

Ingredients:
  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • ¾ c (1.5 sticks) butter
  • 1 c flour
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 c chopped nuts (optional)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
Directions:
  1. Heat oven to 350° (325° for glass dish).
  2. Microwave chocolate and butter 2 minutes, stir till melted.
  3. Stir in sugar till well blended; stir in flour and nuts; spread in greased foil-lined pan.
  4. Bake 30-35 minutes or till toothpick comes out w/fudgy crumbs. Do not overbake.
Variation:
  • Cream cheese brownies. Use 4 eggs, and top brownie mixture with 1 package cream cheese mixed with 1/2 c sugar and 2T flour, swirling with knife to marbleize.
